It’s easy to get your free instant online valuation for your gold and platinum. Just punch in the purity and weight of your items, and we instantly quote you it’s value. Don’t worry if you don’t know the carat or the weight of your gold or platinum, we can test it for you. You will be amazed at how much your gold is worth.

Our prices change regularly in line with the gold and platinum markets and as such, the quotes that you receive do expire, but not to worry because once you have got your quote, we hold the price for a while so that you can research a little more and give you plenty of time to get your gold to us.

You can do this in one of two ways.

By post – Send in your gold by using an insured delivery service. We recommend that you use Royal Mail Special Delivery as these are insured up to the value of £500 as standard and they are guaranteed to arrive with us the following day. You can also pay a few extra pounds to have the package insured up to £2500. If your gold is worth more than £2500, we would recommend that you send your items to us in more than one consignment.
On foot – We welcome store visitors and for most items, will be able to pay you in cash at the counter. Click for further instructions if you would like to visit us.

Once we have your gold or platinum, we will assess each item for it’s purity and weight. Purity is tested by looking at hallmarks and also some acid testing in the case that there are no visible hallmarks. In a very few exceptional circumstances we may need to take the items for a few days to be assayed to determine the exact purity.

Once the purity and weight of the gold has been determined, we will contact you to inform you of the total value and send you a cheque, or give you cash right there at the counter. You should receive your cheque in no longer than 4 days of us having received your gold. Many of our customers receive their cheque the following day.

All our customers are welcome to take advantage of our counter service. If you wish to bring your gold or platinum to us in person, check here to visit us.
